Curt was the drummer for Freddie Mercury, Meat Loaf, Peter Maffay, Rio Reiser, Rick Springfield, Scorpions, Spliff, Falco, BAP, Alphaville, Udo Jürgens, Peter Schilling, Münchener Freiheit, Milli Vanilli, Nena, Udo Lindenberg, and countless other artists. As a musician, he was awarded “Drummer of the Year” 15 times, received numerous gold records, and recorded an incredible 12,000 sessions on over 400 million sold records. Alongside his work as a drummer, Curt Cress is also a successful producer and composer. He composes music for films, television series (Tatort, etc.), shows (Wetten dass…?, etc.), and commercials (Bacardi, Southern Comfort, etc.). His talent and versatility have earned him numerous awards, including the “Echo” and the “German Jazz Award.” Later, Cress embarked on an equally successful career behind the scenes of the entertainment industry.
